Is this a swollen lymph node?

I did experience something that may be a swollen lymph node during a period post unprotected sex that has worried me.

Basically, it was a small lump directly on the skin under the ear lobe on both ears. The lump was about half the size of a pea and quite hard to the touch.

Would you say this could have been a swollen lymph node or something else?

Lymph nodes that swell up can be as a result of many different illnesses. The common flu being one. It's not hiv specific. What do you think was your exposure and how long ago did it take place.
