Just started pep and some questions I don't see answers for

I am so sorry to ask the same question that has been asked 100 times but in a different way.  Friday night I had receptive anal sex unprotected where an hiv pos person ejaculated at the base of my anus.  I then learned he was hiv+ and said he had a minimal viral load and a high cd4 count.  I started PEP 9 hours after this occurred.  This is my ONLY risk behavior, ever.

I just want to know the real risk that this could turn out bad.  I know that it is high risk but is the hours before pills good?

I really want to know, in your experience, how many people do you know of that started pep less than 24 hours after exposure actually tested pos 4-6 weeks later.  Thank you

I read that it is 90% effective in preventing HIV. It hasn't been studied is sexual exposures but rather needle stick injuries. Yes taking it soon after exposue is better than later

You started within the allotted time. You will need to test 3 months post your last dose of nPEP to obtain a conclusive test result.
