Knife puncture worries

Hi
I'm a little worried right now and need some words to help calm my nerves.
The situation is quite simple really, I was out looking for a pocket knife to carry with me to work and while looking at one I punctured my finger with the tip of the knife which was very sharp. For such a small puncture my finger bled quite a bit though that's probably also because I was squeezing it to make the blood come out. In any case I went to the bathroom to run water over it while squeezing more blood out.

Should I be worried about transmission of HIV in this way? I even went back though before going to the bathroom to rinse my finger to ask if anyone had looked at the same knife before me and the answer was no. I would assume the sale people wouldn't be playing with the knives and so on but I can't help now but worry.

I know it's partly my OCD so I'll accept that my worries play a lot on my OCD but a little word in the right direction wil help.

Thanks

HIV is instantly inactivated in air so you cant catch it from blood spatters or cuts like you had, otherwise all of America would be infected and you would read about it in the papers when kids got it.

Thanks
It's mostly my paranoia and anxiety couple with OCD that drives me mad.
Anyway the knife was on display in a display cabinet. The seller said no one had looked at it before I had all day.

And as I get it to catch anything I would've had to cut myself deep right immediately after someone else had done so and the blade would've had to have been covered in blood.

Thanks again. Helps
