just several months ago. This man did say he was HIV+ but had an undetectable viral load. I know the risk is low, but should I still get tested? After how long is conclusive?
ok im after answers my self but for what i have read up on.
It is a low risk of getting HIV rfom oral but there is a risk there, certainly not high risk.
People say adv that the antibody tet can show up as positive is 25 days but recommends a 6-8 weeks test followed by a 3 month test. 3 month test is 99.99999% conclusive.
Studies also have shown that people who detect negative at 6-8 weeks are negative but a 3 month test is the safety net apperntly.
I hope this is what you was after, im in a bad position my self and after information about my case. i wish you well and hope everything comes out for the good

Perhaps instead of threatening people when they find contradictory evidence you should explain why that evidence should be disregarded? It's the CDC after all; you can't get more reliable than that.
I am also confused by lizzie lou's comment... you say no risk but that I should get tested??
My apologies Teak, I am just freaking out because I am only 20 years old now and would like to live past 50. The government is fear-inducing, I'll give you that. So oral IS no risk. Can you, or any other poz people out there, share a word about your practices with oral sex and uninfected partners?
