Lip Swelling

Hi.

I had protected sex about 3 months back. Not tested yet, but took medications and all symptoms have disappeared. I did get a lot of replies from my previous post in the STD Community regarding this.

The only thing bothering me now is that sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I have swollen upper or lower lips. Sometimes it just occurs when I think about it .. It had disappeared for the past 2 days but today morning, it had appeared in a very light way when i woke up in the morning (lower lip).

Is it in anyway related to STD or HIV. I did take amoxillin last month and ever since I had a few mosquito bite kind of pimples on both my elbows. I applied some medicine and its gone now. Now the only thing scaring me is that from time to time I have itchy feeling on my palm that appear as a flat red bump. Is this all a side effect of the amoxillin?

Thank you.

Thank you very much. That has put down most of my stress and anxiety problems.

The main reason I had all these concerns were because of the UTI and all the other symptoms that followed there after .. which were similar to the ariticles that you find on the internet about STD and HIV symptoms ..

Lizzie is right!

Not only could they NOT be related to HIV b/c you were protected and didn't have a risk...but also, what you describe are NOT HIV symptoms in any way.

Time to move on and start believing what we are telling you.  You did the right thing by using a condom...condoms work!

how can they be symptoms of hiv when you were never at risk???  c'mon now...think about it.

the symptoms you have described have absolutely NOTHING to do with hiv.

Hi Lizzie. Thanks.

I understand. But then why the symptoms and especially the itchy feeling on my palm and the lip swelling. Is it the medication or something else. Medication was last taken from 27/11.2008 for a week (Amoxillin and cataflam).

Thank you.
