Lipoatrophy

Lipoatrophy

A few years back (3) had routine unprotected sex with a steady girlfriend. As the relationship ended it was questionable whether she was still faithful as we kind of were on and off for about a year. Anyway I have never been tested for anything but recently have experienced some loss of body mass (subcutaneous fat) in the feet, legs ,arms and butt. When I checked this out on line, I saw where it could be lipoatrophy. I have never been sick or had any other symptoms. My question:

Is it possible for something like this to develop so soon? And is it strictly caused by medication and not HIV itself? My anxiety level is going up over this and would like some good advice.  Thanks.

why not test?  it's simple...and if you have had unprotected sex...regardless on who long it has been...a test would be advisable.

(subcutaneous fat) ?????  stop searching hiv on the internet.  you will start developing every symptom that you read about.

Stop looking online for stuff, you will find the most rare things looking around on the net because thats where all the hypochondraics hang out that swear they are dying

You have nothing to worry about but go ahead and get a test anyway.
