If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
Couple of things which is bothering me:
1. Azithral is sometimes used as a preventative for Mycobacterium avium complex in patients with HIV.
2. HIV results in low WBCWbc count count.
Does this mean that there is a possibilty of me being HIV positive or is all this a pure co-incidence?
WBC has to do with the body fighting some infection. It does that for many infections we developed. It doesn't have to do with HIV only. If you had a fever it is an indication that your body is trying to fight an infection. We get fevers when we have the flu and pneumonia. OH, from my experience the after effects of a long bout of antibiotics seem to be very wicked.
The antibody test must be administered to determine your HIV status.A routine blood test by your doctor will not do either. You must ask your doctor specifically for AN HIV TEST.
Take comfort in the fact that you may not have been involved in a high risk activity.
