Lymph nodes any indication?

OK, so I had a condom failure during insertive anal sex with one-night stand partner on 12/24 (8 weeks ago). Guy says he is clean and was tested, etc. but who knows.

I just noticed some tenderness under my right ear, above the top of the jawbone. It's more of a tender/sore feeling rather than a pain feeling, but it can get quite unpleasant if I press hard. This is right where a lymph node is.

I have no other lymph nodes or sore spots anywhere on me. i have no cold or any sickness right now. I got a cold-like illness (very mild fever like 99.8, sore throat, green mucuous, cough and bad nasal congestion) two weeks after exposure.

I believe this soreness has been there for a long time, but i can't say i ever paid it much attention, so i do not know if it preceded my unsafe exposure.

Could this be an sign of acute infection or ARS?

Symptoms are never good to diagnosis HIV and you are not in the window for ARS. Since it has been 8 weeks you can test now for a decent indication and then follow up at 3 months for a conclusive test if you want.
