Muscle Wasting

How soon after HIV exposure would you see muscle wasting. Could this occur as soon as a year after becoming infected or is this something that is normally seen much later. Also, is hypogonadism commonly seen with HIV infection?

Muscle wasting is usually caused by those that take certain medications for HIV. It would usually take years for it to show up. Most Drs. try to keep from prescribing meds that will cause wasting.
