NEGATIVE?
hey everybody! just got back from a clinic. 11 weeks after the incident I musterd enough courage to go get tested. I had a low risk exposure (hetero, popped condom for a sec.) they tested me with OraQuick - orasure and it was negative! doc HHH and some of you guys said I didnt even need testing based on my symptoms and exposure. Do you guys thik this is good enough? would this be conclusive after 11 weeks? thaks! all best!!!
I have been going paranoid since my recent break up. I used to have unprotected sex with this guy who was having fun with other men (I think protected but one can't be protective and safe all the time). Since knowing that I just stopped having sex with him. But since then I am kind of paranoid. Don't have the courage to go and get tested since I have too much on my plate for now. I have problem of tonsils since childhood and other problems too, but during the last 3 years with this guy never experienced any ailment until one day I found some rashes on my shoulder aching joints (probably from too much walking??) and sore throat no enlarged lymph nodes. Except rashes all symptoms disappeared in two days.Rashes were diagnosed by a doc as 'auto-immune' problem some kind of eczema which is not contingent.
Since then I am really paranoid and I don't find the courage to go and get tested when I am all alone with no close friend/s to share my situation.
These days I am having a weird feeling of lump in my throat which actually doesn't exist cus its more psychosomatic. I have been catching colds when I go out in chilly air. II never had fevers, instead I feel its too hot so sometimes I have to leave my room to get fresh air and bit of cold air to breathe in. Also I am having issues of high blood pressure. My family doctor (who doesn't know about my HIV status) says, all these symptoms are due to my stress (I am a graduate student). Can someone help me how to handle all this situation.
