If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
Well your details are not the best so I can't say if the condom stayed on, but I can say that it was never put on properly.
8 weeks is a very good indication, but 3 months is conclusive. So I suggest taking that 3 month test, but don't worry to much since 8 weeks was negative.
And buy some condoms and learn how to put them on correctly before you have sex again.
Thanx Vance but my concern is 3 months from unprotected sex or i need to take the test again after 3 months that is month of October and what are my chances of getting HIV from only one unprotected sex
3 months from the unprotected sex.
I don't give out stats with chances, feel it is better to say risk or no risk. If we said this person had a 1 in 100,000 chance a lot of people would not test and I find that to be not right.
The chance of getting HIV from one unprotected exposure is pretty slight, even with a CSW. And it sounds like you were protected for most of the act if there was semen in the condom when you withdrew, which makes the likelihood even slimmer.
In addition, your 8 week negative test result means it is even less likely that you got infected. But as Vance said, you need a final test at 3 months for your result to be conclusive.
Thanks joggen but my concern is can i be tested positive within a month or have you heard abt someone tested negative after 8 weeks and then tested positive after 12 weeks i will get tested for sure but i am really concern abt this. This is really killing me and i could not sleep.Help me pls.
Thanks
Neither doctor on this forum has had a negative test at 8 weeks test positive after 12 weeks within the last several years, nor do they know of any colleagues who have observed this, and Doctor Hook has said it probably happens less than 1 in 10,000 times. It is VERY RARE.
Your worry is W A Y out of proportion to the actual chance that you have HIV, which is

You should expect a negative result on your 12 week test.
