If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
13 days after getting blood on my finger, I had swollen glands under chin/jaw area and I had canker sores inside mouth on right cheek. These symptoms lasted 5 days. I did not notice any fever. I now have a small white spot on my left tonsil. I'm worried because I'm breastfeeding my baby. I had a torn cuticle, but no bleeding cuts. Does it have to be an open bleeding cut to be infected with HIV? My test at 2 weeks and 4 weeks were negative. Is the 4 week test reliable? Please just clarify for me. I'm just a worried mom.
