Need help...unprotected sex

I had unprotected sex with a sex worker in Dubai for less than 30 seconds, very drunk and stupid. She said she was from ukraine and confirmed she had no diseases. I am worried since the next morning i had frequent visits to urinate and a burning sensation. Now i have some sort of lower abdominal pain along with it. I am worried what it could be and have visited the doctor, the doctor had done a urine test and a semen analysis, the result said i had a very high leukocyte count (he mentioned 28), it was 14 before. I have had hiv test before and all negative when the leukocyte was 14 but had none of the symptoms that i have now. Now i am very worried it is at 28. Any advice, what are the odds i got HIV.

A Dr will tell you that odds of getting HIV for men through vaginal sex with a woman are 1 in 2000 if she was infected, which she probably was not.  Personally I believe they need to publish statistics of how many people outside of Africa that are straight have HIV, and what pecentage of people in the non-African world who have HIV are gay.  I think people would get a much mor accurate picture of the risk.

I have known many, many mongers and basically man-****** over the years, and none have contracted HIV through straight vaginal sex.  Also, who do you know that is famous and came out with HIV through vaginal sex?  Magic Johnson?  Yeah, I bet he experimented with men and is too proud to say it.

I am not saying men can never get HIV from women through vaginal sex, but I do believe there needs to be a strong contributing factor, such as sores on the penis or other situation that could lead to an exchange of blood during the activity.  Also, contracting another disease such as gonorrhea could result in that disease being the carrier of the HIV virus into the man's body.

These are not facts for certain, but these are my own conclusions based on reading many Dr comments and a collection of online material about HIV.

I've had a few scares myself, so I studied like crazy.  Bottom line...if I stupidly manage to have unprotected vaginal sex, I do not test for HIV unless I noticed blood present, the girl told me she has had STDs before or presently, or if I contracted another STD (which I never have).  These are also guidlelines that keep my mind from running crazy wild after I have had an encounter.  If I did not have some reasonable guidelines, I would either never have sex out of fear, or I would get tested after every encounter and go broke and/or get fired for being at the Dr all the time.

Good luck.

Symtoms of hiv Occur 2 - 6 weeks after exposure. 70% will experience high fever, sore thoat, and rash. You can diagnose hiv through symtoms, historically unrealible. Most stds you can test after 2 weeks. Syphilis 6 weeks, hiv reliable at 6 - 8 weeks. 3 months conclusive with antibody test. There are early detection test you could look into like a pcr hiv test.

Other stds are much easier to transfer than hiv. The best thing you can do is just get tested at the right times. There is no such think as safe sex till your in a mutually exclusive relationship. God bless
