Nervous about HIV

I have had multiple encounters of intercourse with escorts all protected.  Today, my doctor called to tell me that my recent blood work showed a slightly lower than normal white blood count.  I am very nervous even though I have always had protected sex.  Please provide guidance.  Thank you

You used protection, you do not have an HIV concern.

A slightly lower than normal WBC could be anything and it's not related to HIV obviously because you had no risk.All the best.

Thanks to both of you for the prompt responses.  I've only recently become anxious about my "escort activities" and have been unable to stop (a whole separate issue.)  When the doc called, this was my immediate anxiety and a "low WBC" search on the Internet did not help.  My most recent activity was last week so it is too soon for a test...not a great feeling.  Thank you again!

You don't require an HIV test if the sex was protected.

So due to my paranoia I went ahead and was tested for HIV anyway and it came back negative.  Somewhat relieved but this does not account for 3 protected encounters I have had in the last couple weeks.  Ugh.
