Non-Sexual Risk?

There was a guy in his early 20's-ish selling magazines door to door one day, and I saw him when I was coming home from school. At 5 oclock in the afternoon, it was quite dark and my friend was coming over so I didn't think twice to look out the glass. It was the magazine seller, and he shook my hand and was just very enthusiastic. I told him no one was available, and he shook my hand again before he left. Immediately after I realized I had a sort of scrape on the side of my pinky, and from what I could see the skin wasn't broken, just irritated and red and stung a bit. I washed my hands immediately. There was no blood but I'm NOT sure that if I DID squeeze it, blood would come out. I was too scared to squeeze it.

This happened approximately 4 weeks ago. Last week I had a sore throat and had difficulty swallowing- my doctor told me I had a nasal drip. The soreness is gone, but my dry cough is still here. With it being December and cold and all, I'm not sure what to think. I'm young, and I might sound ridiculous but I've been regretting this for weeks.

In conclusion: I've read that HIV can even get into microscopic cuts, and that you don't have to see blood for it to infect you. The posts I have been reading here make me believe otherwise. For my situation, what do you think?
