Non reactive HIV ELISA test

by myHIV, Nov 04, 2009 08:02AM
have under gone HIV test through "Enhanced chemiluminescence assay" test.
Result : NONREACTIVE(0.08)

and the ranges mentioned in the report are

Nonreactive[0 to 0.8]
Border[0.9 to 0.99]
Reactive [1 or above]

I know nonreactive is negative but my doubt is since I have got nonreactive(0.08)what is this 0.08 am I infected with HIV mildly?

Thanks in advance

You can never be mildly infected with HIV, you either have it or your don't. The numbers are meaningless, you are negative.

But what was your risk and how long after the risk did you test?
