If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I was involved in Protected insertive anal until the condomCondoms Female condoms broke at the end. As well as unprotected insertive oral.
My partner is also a male and states that he is negative but I have reason to believe otherwise.
I was very apprehensive about testing over the past 3 months. Today I finally worked up enough courage to go to my local clinic. I was tested with the Oraquick AdvanceAdvance care plus Advance reliefRapidRapid shallow breathing Hiv test. Today it is 84 days post exposure or 12 weeks exactly. Can anyone tell me if this sufficient enough time to have recieved my Conclusive /Confirmative results.
The test was Negative. The clinician said that 84 days is enough time because the test is highly accurate at 12 weeks. But now I worry that I should have waited 90 days or even 6 months......can I rest easier knowing that I tested negative at 84 days?
Any other comments from anybody?
