Oral Sex + Fingering + Vaginal Fluids = ?

Oral Sex + Fingering + Vaginal Fluids = ?

Hi Doctors,

I've recently engaged in risky behavior and have been developing weird symptoms so i wanted to run the situation by you guys (esp dr hook)

I recently had an encounter with an escort on Dec 13. First we took a shower together where I fingered her and she performed oral sex on me.  We also kissed in between. Then on the bed I continued fingering her and kissing her.  Then she performed oral sex on me after which I ejaculated near her mouth (not inside). I might have also touched my penis after fingering her so this is cause of concern (i cant remember fully though)  I am sorry for the extreme detail but I wanted to access my risk thoroughly.  However we did not engage in insertive sex. Simply the acts I stated above.

Sidenote: I took antibiotics from Dec 21-Dec 28 for a minor gum infection.  Is there a risk I could have been transmitted HIV through the kissing.  The gum infection was coincidental.

Recently though I started developing weakness, a sore throat (feels like a lump when i swallow), and random headaches. I'm really scared as to what this could be/ should I get tested.

I contacted the escort who assured me she was healthy. I asked if she was tested and she said no.  She also stated she engaged in unprotected sex with only her boyfriend (not with clients).  She also stated that she had a one year old kid and a four year old kid. This still did not put my fears to ease.

Please doctors access my risk.  I read a lot on the internet and my fears have been spiraling out of control.  I know receiving unprotected oral sex is low risk and I didn't seem to see any blood but am I at risk?  However i tend to bite my nails and skin so if my fingers were cut when fingering whats the risk? Also Im not sure if my hands had her wet vaginal fluids but suppose they did and i touched my penis's esp mucous membranes in which case am I at risk? Should I get tested?

Doctors I thank you for reading this and helping those who are concerned.

Welcome to our Forum.  Before I address your questions, a word of advice- stay off the internet.  Please remember the power of the internet not only to inform but also to mislead.  While there is much useful information available on the internet, much of it is also taken out of context or a bit unbalanced and some of it is just plain wrong.

Your partner's HIV status is not of concern in this situation since none of the activities you describe place you at risk for getting HIV.

The activities you describe are not associated with risk for HIV.  HIV has never been spread by touching (fingering), kissing or giving or receiving oral sex.  This is the case even for persons with gum disease.

As for your symptoms, these are not due to HIV but are most likely due to the sort of virus that most people get from time to time.  Please do not let your sore throat, weakness of headaches worry you.    EWH

Thank you Doctor for your prompt reply. There was so much vaginal fluid from the fingering that I just assumed that if somehow it got in contact with my penis (non insertive) I probably got HIV. Also my penis might have touched her vagina when we got close. What's the risk of that? We didn't engage in vaginal or anal sex but like I said earlier these cold symptons, sudden pain and lightheadness makes me rethink my situation.

I repeat, not penetration, no risk- really.  the amount of vaginal flui is irrelevant.  EWH

So I don't need to get tested correct? And I should just treat these flu like symptoms as they are just nothing out of the ordinary?

Can you access my risk if:

Vaginal fluids came in contact with my penis (outside of non penetrative sex)

for example:

if my penis came in contact with the vagina (similar to genital rubbing) and if there was vaginal fluid outside?

Thank you so much.

Please stop asking the same question again and again.  This was a no risk expsoure. that vaginal secretions may have come into contact with your penis in the absence of penetration is NO RISK!!!!  This will not be repeated again.

Hi doctor. Thanks for all your advice. Please answer this question: is a 7 week negative Unigold Rapid Test a good indicator of my status? (As in I shouldn't worry about late seroconversion or false negatives). Thank you.

Yes, you should believe these results and move on.

I broke my rule about no further replies here.  will not do it again.  EWH
