Oral Sex Statistics

I know that the risks from receiving oral sex are estimated to be 1 in 10,000, 1 in 20,000 or zero depending who you ask, but I was wondering if there are any ongoing studies that one could look at that deal with this "very low" risk.

It seems that on this and a number of other forums there are a multitude of heterosexual men who, like myself, are married and / or monogamous and were only exposed through receiving oral sex through a one-time lack of common sense.  If this is the case, are these incidents looked into in an attempt to at least somewhat confirm the exposure conditions, or are they basically dismissed for statistical purposes because it is virtually impossible to confirm the limited exposure?  In other words, how many men claim (honestly or otherwise) that they only received unprotected oral sex 1 time with 1 person outside of their HIV-free relationship and if it can't be proven that they are mistaken about their exposure, wouldn't there be at least some cases to be researched?

In my case, I am still terrified 5 1/2 weeks later and if, God forbid, my test comes back positive would my exposure be seriously looked into if confirmed by the csw and myself?  What haapens to all of the other men who say the same thing and come back positive?  It seems through research that the vast number recall other exposures afterwards, but what about the ones like myself who are both honest and adament?

There have been 2 studies which I know of in the past one being a 10 year study done out of Spain and another several year study done out of San Fransico. Both show no new infection from oral sex...No risk.

Can you give me the link to the above 2 studies that you have mentioned? I would like to have a look at the studies.

I believe dwaa and many others would like to have a look at the studies that you have mentioned.
