Oral Sex and negative Hiv Duo Test

Dear Doctor
I visited a massage parlor in Dubai. The morocon lady did oral sex with me. I didnt ejaculate in her mouth. After that i was so much worried and went to one doctor here. He asked for an elisa test (i dont know the generation) after 10 days which was negative. After that i got test for hiv combo test (P 24 ag / ab CMIA) at 36 days and at 46 days which were also negative. Now doctor is telling that although these tests are re assuring but i have to got for a final test at 90 days whereas, another doctor is telling that due to low risk exposure and 3 negative tests, i can carry on with my life. I am so much confused. Furthermore, internet is also full of different opinions. Can you help me  and confirm whether 46 days negative test is conclusive or not or should i wait for another 44 days. Please give me a response.

I know that I don't have hiv but my fear is so strong that I cannot control it. Also doctor told me today that results outside north America are not reliable

You do not have HIV but you need counselling, either you are not trusting people here or your irrational fear is beyond your control. My guess you already know that you do not have HIV.

I'm also on the same boat, I had my test done 8 weeks HIV/STD, all negative... I got an oral with condom on from a sex worker and I was so worried... still am actually. They told me 3 and 6 months test is conclusive... but as everyone said which I'm also bit convinced now ORAL SEX is not a RISK...

Here's what  USA CDC Says:

"Receiving fellatio (getting BLOW JOB) carry little to no risk."

REALLY?  With all due respect, your doctor is clueless.  That's absolutely NOT true.  Read the replies you've been given.

Move along.  You don't have an HIV concern.  You don't have to think about, worry about, ask about HIV testing again!

Thank u i just want one clarification whether duo test also covers antibodies  for hiv 2. One more thing whether there is any chance that a 75 day test i.e. 11 weeks is less accurate than 12 weeks test.

Did you even read my last reply?

Find a new doctor and stop testing.  You never had a risk...testing will only fuel your anxiety, and increase your chance for a false +, which will cause a tremendous amount of undue anxiety.

YOU DON'T NEED ANYMORE TESTS, YOU'RE CONCLUSIVELY NEGATIVE!!

Ignore the "advice" from your doctor who, I am sure not a specialist in infectious diseases. Your risk never existed. An HIV Duo test is conclusive and accurate after 4 weeks anyway, You do not have HIV

Thank you for your kind support and advice but my doctor is killing me and still telling that 90 days test is conclusive and all these tests are for a good indicator but not the final one.

Concur with Howard completely, the Duo test (4th generation test) is conclusive from 28 days, you are absolutely free from HIV. (Not that you had a risk in the first place :) )

Time to down tools and forget about HIV now, you have done the right (but unnecacerry) thing of testing to put your mind at rest, accept your result and move on happy in the fact you do not have HIV.

Best Wishes

James

Stop testing for goodness' sake! As the others said, this was a no risk event and you didn't need testing at all. And even if you decided to test for reassurance, 4 DUOs is ridiculous. DUO is conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after exposure. Any other tests have been superfluous and a waste of money.

So no more testing, and no point in asking anything further about it on this forum. The answers won't change no matter how many times ask. Move on.

there is no difference between they " low risk " and the " no risk " from this site ..... Vance2335 , TEAK , James and other experts here use the term no risk because there are so few reported cases ( remember not documented cases) that it is not nesessary to take it as a risk .... I think you should listen to Vance2335 and other experts here ....they know what they say and they never ever ever say to us there is no risk if there was a risk ...:) btw I am in the same situation ....I had oral sex with a female ( sexworker ) and I was the one who performed oral sex ....and still no risk :)

If you look for a problem you will find it. Thats life.

You came on here and asked for advice (Those of us with stars by our name are usually pretty good - Vance more so) and you have HIV due test results. (also as already stated there was never a risk.
