Oral Thrush Question...

Hi, question to anyone who may know the answer.

First up - I have negative tests outside any window period.

However, I have confirmed oral thrush (at back of tongue). Not sure how long its been there, it's completely asymptomatic. I am not on any antibiotics (it's been well over a year since I've taken anything), inhalers, not diabetic and am generally healthy (although too many minor colds last year for my liking).

I have read all over the web (and even on the Body etc) that one has to generally be immunocompromised to get oral thrush. Yet, when people have oral thrush, but a negative HIV test, they are told they are negative.

Wouldn't being immunocompromised result in a false-negative test any way? So how can you be so sure?

Thanks for any answers.
