Oral hairy leukoplakia

There’s something wrong with my tongue, and I'm not really sure what the problem is. I tested negative for HIV back in July 2007 4 months after high risk sex in Brazil. On the lateral parts of my tongue I get small white spots that come and go lasting at most for 4 days at a time. I usually get them on both sides of my tongue every time. When I got tested I ask the doctor about my tongue and told me not to worry about it. But I know there’s something wrong here. It’s been like this for at least a year now. I'm not sure if this is related to oral thrush or not. What’s your opinion?

If you tested 4 months post exposure then you are in the clear...nothing to worry about regarding HIV. Any symptoms you have are due to something else if that was your only risk.
