Oral sex 8+ years ago

Hello. I performed oral sex on an older gay male 8 and half years ago, and swallowed (stupidly). I am unaware of his HIV status-- and have never had a test myself. Throughout the years I have had swollen glands a few times, but never thought about it. For the past several weeks though I have had multiple swollen glands in my groin area ( mostly left side) and just on the last week my neck gland have been swollen-- but I had an chest cold so those may be related. I have a physical in early December so will ask doctor then and get tested, but wanted to know if this could be HIV. No other symptoms really-- fatigued a bit but that may be due to cold and the fact that I'm stressed about this. Please let mr know your thoughts. ( while I haven't been tested I have had multiple blood tests over the years that have shown all normal). Thanks for your insight.

u were never at risk from that exposure, but what else have u been doing for the past 8 years dude. i cant believe u never had unprotected sex in the past 8 years, if u had, get tested.

You should always protect yourself when having sex. Whether or not people want to believe it, studies have shown that HIV has been trasmitted through oral sex...while the risk is low, Bear in mind it's not impossible.
