Oral sex gone raw (gay)

Last night I was receiving oral sex that lasted longer than normal with a random guy.  Afterwards I noticed that the skin under my foreskin looked like it tore.  It wasn't bleeding but it looked like it could have been.  On the CDC website it says I could have been exposed to HIV if he had blood in his mouth.  Is that likely?

Hey roy. Sounds like a similar situation to that which i've found myself in! The response i received from Teak and the docs on this forum suggest that oral sex is a VERY minimal risk, especially when you're on the receiving end. Dr. Hook suggested the risk is somewhere around 1 in 10,000- and thats IF your partner was/is positive. Both docs on here claim to have never seen a case of HIV transmission from oral sex. So I think it's safe to say you are most likely in the clear. In my situation the person i was with had oral gonorrhea which increased the risk of HIV transmission(providing he had HIV) by 2-5 times. All in all im looking at a risk of at very best one in one to two thousand occurances... but considering both docs are yet to see a case through this type of exposure I believe it could be even less of a risk. My exposure was also rough oral sex. teeth were used on the end of my penis- sounds wonderful I know. Anyway im still a bit concerned- regardless of what i've been told by ppl about my extremely low risk encounter; so i know how you feel. Its VERY unlikely that he had bleeding going on inside his mouth, and i believe studies have shown that minor quantities of infectious fluid i.e blood are often made less infectious by saliva. This is, from what i have read, a contributing factor in the lack of evidence there is to show oral sex can transmit the virus. While i dont believe the information I have given you is incorrect, im not an expert so I cant tell you whether or not u are at risk. However, in my OPINION, somewhat informed through countless hours of reading i have done and the information i have received from the helpful people on this site, you have little reason to be concerned. You can get tested for piece of mind if you want. I'm always checking in here and there so hit me up if you got any ideas or new info for me. By the way, theres heaps of similar questions which have been posed that you can find answers to from the doctors on this site if u have a browse. They will probably be alot more definitive in responding to your concerns/queries.

all i can say is you can wait on this website for a response or 2 that is not super accurate..  or wait for symptoms to show up that might never show up or take months. or goo to some clinic or doctors office tomorrow or this week and find out if you can take like the test thy give for like 48 hours of hiv exposer  i heard it willll help you on the long run andd you might not have to take meds. the sooner you find out the beter dont sit around for a answer, you prob dont have anything from oral. but then again you never know. go get tested,,,
