Oral sex on a female

by spark22, Oct 07, 2009 05:01PM
Hello. About 3 and a half weeks ago I performed oral sex on a girl for a few seconds she also was giving me oral. She was on her period with a tampon sticking out but I didnt see any vagina fluids/blood in or around the vagina, i also sucked her clit once. That night I went to bed around 11-12 and woke up around 7-8 the next morinig with a sore throat and didnt really pay it any mind because the water here sometimes irritates my throat after i drink it. The next day it was still there and I noticed swelling on my left tonsil and white puss looking stuff on moth tonsils. So i got worried but went to work all week scared that I might have HIV. Went to the doctors the same week on Saturday and they said it was probably strep and didn't do a throat culture (I guess because I have no insurance). Gave me a shot and some amoxcillin 875mg that I took for 10 days straight. I had diarrhea really watery but i guess it was due to antibiotics some fever and a loss of appetite guessing it was from anxiety but i lost 7-8 lbs with the depression and no eating. Things started to clear up last week except my left tonsil which it still swollen with white stuff that can be wiped off easily. Sorry for the long post but I'm just wondering what was my risk of performing oral on her with no blood or vaginal fluids present but her being on her period? And would I have swollen tonsils just a day and a half after the encounter? Also I have a chipped tooth in the back of my mouth for a few months does that have a factor? Its not bleeding or anything.

Thank you any help is much appreciated.

No risk.

by spark22, Oct 21, 2009 01:01PM
Was I ever at any real risk. This was my first sexual encounter lasted about 10 minutes.
Could i have really gotten symptoms so fast?

by Vance2335, Oct 21, 2009 01:10PM
Did you actually read what Joggen wrote to you?

Yes i read it but it seems I've had to many similar symptoms to HIV. My left tonsil is still swollen along with my left node in my neck but everything else has cleared up in the duration of 1-2 weeks just like what i've read. She was on her period and even though she had a tampon in and i tasted no fluids her vagina had a smelly aroma so i stopped.

My symptoms:
1.Swollen tonsil with white stuff on it a day after oral sex
2. Lack of appetite, couldnt eat even tho I tried.
3. Diarrhea. (maybe from the 10 day antibiotics I had).
4. Lost weight ( I worked a very physical job and sweated a lot).

That's all the symptoms I've had dating from Sept 13 - Oct 2. I feel fine now and the girl said she is clean and is willing to go get tested with me. But I think she is lying to me or doesnt know her status. She said I have a GF 2 kids and no one has ever cmplained about being sick after being around her. I'm sorry to post again but im going for my test on Monday and really need some kind of hope. I'm young and it hurts that my first time could be my last time.

You did not have a risk and symptoms don't start the next day and your symptoms are not even related to ARS.

Thank you for your post Vance. So can I get tested without a doubt?

by Vance2335, Oct 22, 2009 01:04PM
You can not get tested and still have no doubt.

Thank you for your post halfoldman. Im worried because I have a bad tooth in the back right side of my mouth. I never was sick like this before. Is there any explanation to how i got sick within the same week and the on going swollen nodes and tonsils. I know you guys arent doctors and the mistake i made is my very own problem. I'm just so tore up over this its been a month and a half.

the symptoms your listing is anxiety like, you just kept thinking whats going to happen lol trust me i've been through it

by spark22, Oct 23, 2009 05:49AM
So if she was on her period and had a tampon on in the process and i still stuck my tounge in once then sucked her vaginal lips and licked her clit all this in about 10-20 seconds because i smelled a bad odor then her vagina let out this air release like noise. Your telling me that there still isnt a risk lol? Also if I get tested on at the 7 week mark and its negative is that a good indicator that I don't have HIV?

by spark22, Oct 23, 2009 11:30AM
Can I get an answer?

by Vance2335, Oct 23, 2009 11:35AM
Re read the 1st answer given to you

Guys I thank you for your responses. But I really feel like I've came down with something. How many of you would bet money on a negative test? I know symptoms dont really matter. Even if she is HIV+ what are the chances? Sorry for keep reposting but its just depressing to know that my first sexual experience could lead to this. I'm trying to build up the courage before I go test on Monday but everytime I think of the symptoms I've been having with swollen tonsils/painless node in my left neck and its pretty big but not big enough to see with the naked eye (tonsil still has a few white verlly small flecks).

Not trying to get banned or cause trouble just was looking for a little support to build my faith up to step forward in my testing.

Dear spark, greetings to you, symptoms do not show up so early, it takes 2 to 3 weeks, and usually fever for a week, I am not frightening you,but symptoms are not reliable. Dear spark, I am confident your problem is not HIV, you are paranoid.chances are very very slim.If you are worried take fourth gen test that tests antigen that appears before antibodies, its a  a rapid test, takes ten min for results, take after 3 weeks and it will calm your worries, its very cheap test, dont worry yourself toomuch, you are ok,test just to reassure you,.probably in future you can cut open a condom, cover it in your tongue and do the act this is safe dental dam. I wish you well, take care and God bless you. Bye.

Hi spark22,
I'm glad you had a negative result.  I can explain why your tonsil was still swollen and where the white came from that was easy to wipe off.
It sounds like the bacteria causing your tonsillitis was resistant to the antibiotic that the doctor prescribed.  So the antibiotic did not kill the infection.
However we all have good bacteria on and in our bodies, this is known as "flora."  What the antibiotic did do, was kill off some of the flora in your mouth, allowing for it to be a prime location for a yeast overgrowth -- candidas albicans is the organism that is normally found in your body that causes yeast infections, when it's allowed to overgrow, then it becomes a yeast infection. Eating yogurt helps with clearing these up.
I hope that helps, and I hope you have finally gotten better.  :)  You may have just had a virus which doesn't respond to antibiotics either.
Take care.
