Oraquick at a clinic

Hello Gail, my exposure was almost a year ago in august 2013, i have taken like 5 times Oraquick home test and they all came back negative all past three month, i followed the directions on the kit, i kept getting paranoid about it what if i did the test wrong so today i went to STD clinic Planned parenthood to test for HIV, the nurse performed also OraQuick ADVANCE test, but she told me to swab my gum and start from the upper and keep swabbing all the way around to the lower gum like a circle twice. I asked her why you told me to do it that way i thought i should only swab upper gum once and lower gum once, she told me it doesn't matter and doesn't affect test accuracy, just to be on the safe side I just wanna make you collect enough oral specimen. So my result was also negative. What do you thinkkkkk did the nurse performed the test right? Does that way would affect the test accuracy? So what do u think should stop worry about HIV am i HIV negative do I need to test again? Am i conclusively negative? Pleae any advice. Thanks in advance.

Whose Gail? If you're referring to GeorgiaGail, you're on the wrong site.

You are HIV negative. The home test were accurate. They are idiot-proof. If the virus was there, it would pick the virus up as long as it was 3 months past exposure. Even possibly 8 weeks with the OraQuick.

The nurse is trained in doing the test, she did it right and ALL your results are accurate.
