PCR RNA @ 6.5 weeks

Hello all:

Well, I got a neg RNA @ 6.5 weeks after my
blood in mouth exposure after biting my poz
partner and nPEP.

Doc says no need to follow up but I will go
for the standard antibody at 13 just to
document the results.

My life is irrevocably changed. My partner
and I have parted friends.

Thanks to all who helped me during my time
of stress.

Strata:

You have been a great help. Yes, I will still
follow up with the standard testing
protocol.

I thank you for all your help!

Congratulations on your negative test. Most experts would still recommend follow-up antibody testing at 13 weeks, so your plan to get tested is a good one, although the risk of infection seem to be remote.

I'm sorry to hear that the stress of this exposure has ended your relationship. In previous posts you had indicated a determination to stay together regardless of the test results.

I wish you - and your partner - the best of luck and happiness going forward.
