PEP Therapy ? Side Effects? Necessary?

Hello  I recently started on PEP therapy due to a possible exposure. ( Truvada and Isentress every 12)  I had receptive Anal with condom break.  No ejaculation , and had just started having sex when condom broke, when he pulled his penis out, the condom had broken and slid back with the tip of his  Penis sticking out and I noticed a bubble of Precum on the tip of his penis.... I freaked out...  I asked him "Oh Crap!  are you Positive" and he said no,  I did not know this guy very well only met him once before- He SWEARS he is clean and recently gave Blood....but that really means nothing... cuz he does sleep around  I would imagine.  The next morning 24 hours later I started PEP.  As of now I am pretty sure I am HIV NEG as usual,(baselines will tell)- however I have had ALOT! of  side effects and on day 5 of meds... Somedays im not sure I could take the side effects anymore...How permanent are these Side effects according to medical stats ?.  I have heard some are permanent.  I have had extreme fatigue on the meds...Depression, ringing in the ears, but EXTREMELY TIRED....however I am trying to stay on course... I get my first baseline test next Week and hoping for the best but wanted to know. A : Should I be worried on contracting HIV ( Assuming he's POZ) with one droplet of pre cum when he pulled out?... since we had just started having sex...  B:  How Long have these Side Effects been knows to last.?  and MOST IMPORTANT... Are their Suppliments one can take to alleviate Side Effects as well as POST PEP?  How much damage does PEP do in 4 weeks to the DNA , Bone Marrow?  , Is there an Immune response once PEP has stopped and if so, what is there to do about it?

Hi there. I also experienced ringing in ears on the same meds. Did yours go away? It's  been 2.5 months for me now since I got off the PEP

You can look on the medication's website for a list of side effects or ask your doctor or pharmacist. This thread is 3 years old.
