I had an exposure 6 weeks ago which are greatly regret!! I am waiting on to get tested at the 12 week mark but am really worried about the consistant tingling in my fingures i have been getting for the past 5 days!!
I thought that this may be due to anxiety as i havnt really had any other conditions.... But can you can you please tell me if this is a symtom of early onset hiv
(fingers and toes). This condition is called peripheral neuropathy or distal symmetrical polyneuropathy (DPSN) and can be so uncomfortable that patients are often reluctant to walk and perform the activities of daily living. Painful neuropathy can also be caused by some of the anti-HIV medications, especially Videx (ddI) and Zerit (d4T).
yea i understand that and i definitly will get tested at 12 weeks.
I jus wanted to know if anybody knew whether or not persistant tingling in fingures is a possible symtom of early onset hiv / ars ?? or does the paragraph above describe later on hiv only?
its baffling me too!! from what lizzie says, this symptom if related to hiv only occures in later stage of the virus... and she seems quite knowledgable!
Teak do you have anything more to add from your previous post? with regards to the tingling..
