Please, Please help me evaluate HIV possibility

Hi, please i need help and your advice. I broke up with my husband in August 2011, then started a new relationship in November 2011. We went out a couple of times but had oral sex on the mouth and genitals on 21/12/2011, he gave me and I gave him, then protected sex with condoms. I don't have any previous health issues as I just had all my STD tests done April 2011 when I had a baby. I started feeling unwell on the 27/01/2012. I have browsed every web page on the internet. He'd earlier told me he was disgustingly healthy and is a nice person. It started with sore at the back of my tongue, lasted for 5 days, then pain (not swollen per say) in both groins which disappeared after 3 days,  body/muscle pain - back of my neck, my shoulders, behind my legs, joints, which lasted for 4 days, red eyes - 1 day, chills and fatigue but gone, no wax in my ear (my ear wax gone completely dry which I find strange), no discharge from my vagina or moistness (strange as I used to feel slightly moist before now), no itching, no temperature, no diarrhoea but my stomach grumbles and I gas from mouth, I can still move around a lot only that I feel strange. I noticed a sore on the roof of my mouth two mornings ago but gone now and a painless dark patch growing on the left side of my tongue two days ago and gone now. Also I felt slight dry facial rashes developing on my neck  and face three days ago but it no longer looked like a rash at day 2 as not spreading and face has gone smooth again. I have done some general swabs - trichanomiasis, gonorrhoea etc, came negative. The chlamydia yet to be out but don't think I have this as I have no discharge. I have booked for blood tests by Saturday but need an evaluation of my situation and encouragement from all you nice persons on the forum. My partner also just informed me he was born with oral herpes but kept calling it cold sores at the time. There are no blisters on my mouth or genitals and my friend says he rarely has blisters outside except inside the mouth. Is this like a first attack of herpes?  I told the doctor all of this but he said I didn't have enough symptoms to establish herpes, he was particularly looking for blisters on my face and mouth or gens even though I told him I have been exposed to herpes. He says my body will fight whatever it is but that I can take blood tests, they'll run all tests to know. Has anyone had these symptoms? Do they sound like HIV symptoms? My partner has herpes and says he donates blood to the NHS but I didn't confirm his HIV status. I am even annoyed him not mentioning the herpes at all, only saying it when I became ill. And he has been very apologetic and supportive. I have never had flu before so it's strange for me, these experience. Do you always run a fever when you have HIV??? I have not been able to eat for days now because of anxiety, just browsing the internet. I will donate to the website when I finish with this battle ahead. My 28-day DUO test will be done on Saturday to be out on Monday.

I do not have herpes blisters on my genitals or lips, just sores in my mouth that have gone between 2 - 5 days. Please, help me with your thoughts of my situation.

Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child

You never had an exposure from oral sex.

Thank you Teak. I have abstained from sex for almost two years because of marital problems, I have never had flu before (so don't know if this is common flu) and I have a little girl to care for so you must understand my`anxiety.  I am relating my health problems to this new date and even though we used condoms, if he has cold sores in the mouth, then i don't know if he can have given me an illness other than herpes which he recently admits he has. Please, in your opinion, what test should I go for? I compromised my health kissing 21/12/2011. And protective sex 3 days later until now. I am looking at doing the DUO test but want to know if the 14day test would be better.

If you had no risk then you don't need testing. We are not going to advise you to test for HIV from protected encounters.

Thank you Vance. It's just that I don't feel well. If I wanted to do a check to establish my HIV status after 21/12/2011, which would it be then. I have booked already to do it but I don't know if I should ask for a 14day or the DUO. I really want to know because I have been feeling funny. If I have a neg for my test, then I can find other answers to the health problems I'm having. Thanking you and others for your kind response.

Ask for anything you want you never had an exposure. If you feel unwell see your doctor.

Thank you Teak, Vance and Rain lover. The DUO test says negative. But my body aches so much (with the other symptoms) that I thought this must be it. I am awaiting my herpes test which might be the reason my body feels like crap.
