had a unsafe sex relationship with a pros. my penis was little bruised but I could not remember and did not realized whether it was happened before or after I put it into pros's...
I had already tested with Determine 1/2 HIV at hospital in Vietnam for 4 times.
12 days/22 days/42 days and 45 days and all were Negative. Please kindly advise it is still risky? AM I safe after 45 days (full 6 week blood test?). I am now very worried and got very slight fever for 3 days so far without any specific reason? Please kindly let me know. The result of 45 days and 90 days will be unchanged and the same? my collegues in Vietnam had told me to contact with you. Thanks in advance and hope you understand what I have said. Thank you!

You should wait until three months after your possible exposure in order to have a final result. That being said, a test after 45 days most likely means you are not infected. The doctors over on the doctors forum tell people that over 95% of people who are going to test positive will test positive by six weeks (42 days) and that they have not seen someone with a negative test after six weeks have a positive test later.

Get tested again after three months, but with a negative test after six weeks, your chances are looking pretty good. Your fever at this point is not a symptom of HIV infection. Six weeks is too late for you to be developing ARS symptoms. And symptoms are not a reliable indicator of HIV infection anyway.

Vietnam is still a developing country and has not good tecnology to test. We are still using Determine made by Abbott for H test and I know that this method is no longer in use in the States. It is reliable and tests are accuarate? I had tested 4 times at 2 different clinic with same methods. After 45 day test, I had forgot and lived very happily but recently (4 days so far), I saw sweaty in my palms, felt itchy in some parts of my body, light fever though I had protected from sun and rain. I know that 3 month shall be conclusive test but how  I can stand with these symptons that I have to suffer from both in day time and night time. I did test 4 time and I can not have enough brave to go to clinic for 4th test at 60 days. My English is very poor and I do hope all of my dear can make sense of what I have meant....I am very anxious :-((.

A 45 day is not conclusive. A three month test is conclusive.

What does 3rd generation of method Determine HIV 1/2? I do not make sense of 2 or 3 rd generation. the 3rd G is reliable? In Vietnam almost clinics and hospitals use Determine HIV 1/2 to test. Thanks million.

Yes it is very reliable.

The test you will have will be accurate...you can rely on the results.  Don't start obsessing or researching tests.  

As everyone has already said....your results at 3 months will be conclusive.

Your NEG result at 45 days is very encouraging....but not conclusive.

If you need to see your doc to get your anxiety under control while you are waiting to be tested....you should do so, it would probably help you immensely.

I did test today at 65 days (9 weeks) and the result came back Negative. Am I self confident to do next test at 3 months? I had done at 12 days/22 days/32 days/42 days/45 days and  65 days by all Determine Test. Thanks for your help and send me your advice.

It is highly unlikely that your test results will change.

In 3 weeks you will have your conclusive results, and I'm betting they will be NEG.
