Please help - saw IV drug use - any risks?

Hello, pleaese help me with my questions.  I am a recovering painkiler addict and on a recent relapse, I went into a house to buy some pills.  Anyway, there was a couple people using a syringe to obtain a high from a heavy painkiller which was diluted in water.  I only snorted the pills by the way. I was within 5 ft of the people using the syringe.  The guy I knew was using the syringe and later I drove him home.

I am so scared if I shook his hand or not when I dropped him off, what if there was blood on it or something?

Also, could blood shoot out of the injection site on the arms of the users and infect someone?

I snorted the pill on an old table, could there have been some type of residue from injecting on that table that could pose a risk?

Should I get a test?

what are the only feasible ways to be worried about HIV in this setting?  the house was dingy and I touched the toilet and sink and am scared that there was blood or something on the handles or things. Please help

is this just my mind messing with me for feeling guilty and seeing IV use?

Again, I have never injected and am in a rehab program right now to learn how to stay away from these pills and turn my life and things around.  Please take my questions serioiusly. Thanks.

I am not about to judge you and sharing IV drug works means sharing syringes,this is how HIV can be transmitted not from what you have described.You never had a risk I can assure you and you're safer then the crown jewels in london.

one more question, what are drug works?

the reason I ask is because before the guy injected the pill he needed to break it up and crush it into a fine powder. I was crushing my pill with my credit card and he borrowed it for a second to either crush his pill or scrape pill residue off of another card  (maybe he was making lines out of the powder for IV use too). I some times would run my finger over the edge of the card to get the pill residue on my finger and then lick my finger (in know gross, but I have a problem that I am trying to get help for so please do not make fun of me or judge me). I would run my finger over the card after I made the lines to snort, as an addict you do not want to waste anything. So, based off of that description does that mean "drug wroks" and should I be concerned with that credit card incident?

is testing warranted?


I cannot begin to tell you how much this means to me and please dont judge the drug use, I am getting help and I need to express everything in full detail.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child

If you never shared IV drug works or never had unprotected penetrative sex with an HIV+ person then you had no HIV risk and you are safe.You can shake hands with an HIV+ person a thousand times a day and you won't get infected.Social contact is zero risk.
