Welcome to the Forum. Your risk of HIV is very, very low. Even though your partner had HIV, the likelihood that he had HIV is very, very low. Few heterosexual men in the U.S. who do not use IV drugs have HIV and his negative HIV test about a month ago makes this even less likely.
Even if he had HIV (and as I said above, this is most unlikely), your risk of HIV from a single exposure is still less than 1 in 1000. You really have nothing to worry about. I am confident your ELISA test will be negative.
Just to be sure about you however, you should have been treated as a sex partner to a man with NGU with either azithromycin or doxycycline. Were you?
Hope this comment helps. EWH
You should discuss the fact that the meidcations for yeast and BV do not appear to be working. They should. EWH
Now I am really scared because the chicago public health department told me that. Its still a chance I contracted hiv and i need to be tested at 3 months. I can't possibly wait that long. The dude I had sex with told me his antibody test came back neg. but he didn't receive his Elisa bac. Can I just teat at 6weeks to be assured, or do I have to wait the 3 months. I thought 4 weeks was goog enough, but I hear differ. please advise me..
This will conclude this thread. New questions will require a new post. EWH
