Please help me and explain to me please.

Its unfortunate but I have to mention that I had a fight with a lady in my estate today after some exchange of insults. She bite me on my finger and little blood came out of the finger. Secondly, I  have a few finger scratches on my hand as well. After the whole incident, I am scared because I know she has HIV and that I could get infected by the FINGER SCRATCHES and the BITE. Please help me and explain to me please.

Exactly, its US CDC that I got the information from. she wasn't bleeding from the mouth, I was the only one who bled. Very small blood though. I am very worried....

There is only 1 case of wound/fight transmission that has been recorded and that was in a very serious knife fight in Canada.  Both parties had knives and severely bleeding wounds.

The HIV virus doesn't live in saliva.  So she would have had to been bleeding a lot.   What you've probably heard is a US CDC saying a bite can transfer it, but it's only a theory.   It has never been documented in in 30 years to any one.

You are more likely to be hit by lightning then catching HIV.  If she had been bleeding from the mouth and you had been bleeding then you would have the option to get PEP.

But I'm sure you're worried.   Do you have a doctor you can see?  They might be able to help you and also talk to this woman.

I read some articles sating that it could be a risk because tissue are present in the mouth an all that. I am really afraid. What about the cuts from the finger scratches ? You left that one unanswered.

Dear ywong,

HIV is transmitted by sharing body fluids such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids. Saliva will not transmit HIV, and many studies discussed that Saliva is formed of different type of protein and enzymes that will neutralize the virus. In your case, there was not any sharing of body fluids. There was only blood from your side but no blood from here side.
In my opinion, I do not think you had a risk.
