Please help out.....CRY :(.....

On Friday April 20 2007 at 5:30 PM (10 days ago), I went to a massage parlor and had intercourse with sex worker (condom was used). We only performed one position (missionary position). After two minutes or so, I ejaculated inside of her. I then gave her a very quick kiss (no tongue) and continued to thrust into her for another 10 - 20 seconds. Afterward, I pulled it out and realized that the condom was half way off. The sex worker then helped me clean up with a small tower. I asked her is the tower clean, she said yes. Though, I think her fluid might have contracted my private hair and skin, I washed it right after I got home.

So I got tested 3.5 days after the exposure from Medicaltestingcenter.com: PCR DNA test for HIV, and  regular blood/urine test for STDs including herpes Simplex I & II, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B & C.

Today April 30 2007, I got the result. Negative for everything. I asked the counselor, is this result reliable and do I need further testing since I got tested only 3.5 days after the exposure. He told me no, and explained that PCR DNA test is very sensitive and it will detect the virus DNA after 72 hours. For STDS, they can be detect immediate after exposure. So he said this is conclusive, moreover my risk was low anyway.

So far I do not have any symptoms. Though my mid/lower back hurt quite bad, I think this is due to stress and lack of sleep.

So my questions are:

Can someone please confirm what the counselor said is true?
Do you suggest further testing?
If I decide to have a rapid testing, will 6 weeks mark work?

Thank you so much.

3.5 days for testing is a bit too quick. Gonorrhea and chlamydia may show up at that point, but the other STDs, including syphilis, hepatitis, herpes and HIV needed to be retested at 3 months. A negative HIV result after 6 weeks is very promising, since most people on average develop antibodies to HIV at 22 days. Online testing places usually state that a DNA PCR test is conclusive after 28 days. 3.5 days is too short of a time to consider any test conclusive, The chances that you even contracted HIV from this experience is remote, but if you're worried, get another test at 6 weeks.

The condom covered the head of your penis. The only possible risk is skin contact STDs. This is not an HIV concern.

You wasted your money !

You did not require a DNA PCR for HIV testing because you never had an HIV risk

You don't need any testing however if you still wanna go ahead and get tested go for an antibody test, It'll be negative !
