Please some information, (sorry for the long details)

Hello, I would like to verify that the information I previously recieved was correct. I posted this on the free forum, but I believe that your professional advice is necessary.

My Question: I found out that I have Herpes a few weeks ago, it is the Herpes type one, but genetal. After the symptoms had gone away I was making out with a boy that I have been dating and he began fingering me....I pushed his hand away only a few seconds after he had started...There were no visible cuts on his finger that I had noticed..I believe that he is a healthy, good guy but do I have any risk of having contracted a serious virus if he did have a small cut that I hadn't noticed?

Answere recieved on forum :
This is a no risk situation, HIV is only transmitted by:
Unprotected anal/vaginal sex

extra information to be sure:
My herpes outbreak was quite bad. All of the pain and visible symptoms had gone away a few days before the encounter (fingering...only for a few seconds, basically he put his finger inside me, and I pushed his hand out). I had a very light blood flow around that time , because I am starting a low hormonal Birth Control Pill called Allise to regulate periods. Though there was absolutly no sign of my period while this was taking place. My menstral spotting was dark blood, I believe because I had skipped my first period while on the pill and was spotting the old blood nearing my second period. I dont believe he had any cuts on his finger..If he had a small one that I did not notice..I am still not at risk?

Information recieved on the forum:
No you were never at risk cuts or no cuts

I tend to be a little obsessive when it comes to this topic... Please give me your professional advice.

Basically I believe that my herpes symptoms had completely cleared up a few days before, and as far as I could tell he had no cuts on his finger, I also have every reason to believe that he is a healthy safe guy. Do I have any concerns to worry about?

I will only provide you with a brief answer because my message is the same one that you have already received.  Your recent herpes outbreak does not put you at risk for acquisition of HIV or any other STD. Neither HIV, nor STDs are spread by had to genital contact.  There is no risk at all.  This is true even if he had cuts on his finger. No risk.

Furthermore, you state that you believe that your partner is a healthy, safe guy.  Thus you have even less to worry about.

You do not need to worry and you do not need testing. EWH
