Well mike, good luck with you. This is always going to be hard, especially when you are waiting for the result and all the uncertainties. But we all have to go through this, just think of how many people here going through the same thing and then collect the negative result in the end, so don't worry too much!

Mike,

You're right, nothing will ever put your mind at rest besides getting tested.

I hope that once the test comes out, you'll be able to completely get it off your mind. I have trouble doing that.....I guess that's why I'm still around in these forums.....

I admire you for taking this bold step...many remain coward, and keep on being worried for the rest of their life without knowing what exactly their status is.

Think about it this way, my friend, even if the test comes out positive, it will put you at rest too...at least you can stop worrying about this crazy uncertainty, and you'll be able to move on with your life. It will not be the end, it will not even be the beginning of the end, it will simply be just the end of a new beginning!!! You can still live your life, however different it will be....you'll might wanna live a more focus life, espcecially on what you wanna do the most in life, but you didn't have the chance to because of this everyday limitiontation of time and overloads of unneccessary tasks.......probably you'll be living an unselfish life, and dedicating your effort to the life of others.....

That's the worst case scenario!!!! i know how much you'd lose, but it will never be the end....tell yourself that!!!

And what if it comes out negative???! You don't need me to say it right? you'll learn a great deal about this incidence, and you'll have learned a great lesson to share to others in life.

Find somebody you love the most in life, and tell he or she about that....I'm sure they'll understand you finally......you'll need them this moment....they'll give you emotional comfort and they'll give you the place to turn to!!!

At this point, you should be able to tell what matters most to you, and i'm sure "love" is the common theme of all those things. I know it cuz i've gone through it, and that's why I ask you to tell this to the one you love the most!

Confess it! Be couragious and do it! Don't be afraid that if it comes out okay, you'll lose your face! I'm sure they'll love you the way you love them!

Ever since the day I believed i got infected( which I was not), Love becomes a deep emotion, a profound feeling you untimately need in life. But don't worry that you'll have no love if you're infected! You'll still have it, I promise!

Good luck, my friend!!! I'll be around here on and off...write me as much as possible if you like...I always wished I had someone to talk when i was in your situation, but i didn't have no one!

Share me the Woo.Hoo when the test comes out, okay???!

Be on the bright side!

Mike,

You'll sure be okay....

I can truely feel the way you're feeling now...i had this exactly the same feeling when I got tested for condom breakage for the first time...i told myself that it was the end of my life....just the evening before that i lost my sleep.....and so many other things....

My exposure was with a high risk person, plus i got this stupid ARS: sore-throat, 4 or 5 lymp nodes, joint pain, constant headaches for 15 days, muscles pain and many others too.....but then what happened???

NOTHING!!!! it came out negative........yes...NEGATIVE!

i swear i was more than convinced that i'm infected...i was ready for it....but it was myself who did all the job in convincing myself.

I discovered this truth: HIV is not easily transmitted...it is biologically neccessary for transmission to happen......repetitive exposures might increase the risks, but for those who once did a mistake in life...almost none of them got infected!

Mike, chin up!!!! You have two choices: expecting the worst or the best...think about gambling....say for example if you bet witht the probability of 99% winning, i'm sure you're never aftaid of betting it....cuz you'll know you'll win, even if you only do it one time of....althougth HIV is life threatening, give it some realistic views.

I'm sure your risk is even lower than you'd lose in the game above, please bear in mind that everything has it owns law of natural consequences...which mean....if you have these expsosures 100 times....it's fewer than once time that you'll get infected....it's hard to imaging that you'll get it in the first time!!!!

Be encouraged!!! I was more serious than you, and i am okay....:)  let me give you a hug, buddy!!!! I know you need comfort!

To Byrne, please get away from people's emotion. You can't play with them this way....for those in this forum, they all have very vulnerable, fragile emotion, and your words can easily put them into depression....

I do not want to report an abuse to the webmaster, so please do not do it more!
