Poor Immune system (ARS) Acute HIV/Oral Thrush
My background
in july of 09 i had osteomyelitis and necrotizing fasciitis in my left femur. I had 3 I & D done and was unable to walk for about 3 months.
March 2010 i had another I & D Done
I have been told my immue system is shot and will take a lot of time to rebuild.
So why am i posting here...
July 17 my wife and I had a threesome.
July 19 I went to the doctor because I had a very bad sore throat. I was given a Zpack 5 days
I went back to the doctor 2 weeks later because it had not gone away I was given a different anti botic.
I got sick around april 6 after a night of drinking... Please keep in mind.. I have not gotten sick from drinking for 20 years... I did not drink to much..
After getting sick the next morning i woke up and had major issues with my throat and tongue.
My tongue has lots of bumps on the back of it my tonsils are swollen i would say the size of marbles on both sides.
Roof of mouth is kind of white and pink.. Not normal looking the back of the throat is white and pink.. Lineing looking..
Also looks like i have filiform papillae which can be caused by oral thrush i am reading
Vallate papillae, foliate papillae and fungiform papillae have bumps on them
the Ligual tonsils are hugh like marbles
My tongue feels longer then normal, sometimes does not fit in mouth and is swollen at times
And a bump on the bottom on my mouth where the tongue attached to the mouth.. I can't figure out what this is called...
None of the Lessions are open in my mouth or anywhere
I had a fever of 99 for 2 days if that and felt very tired for a couple of weeks.
Lymph nodes in my neck under my jaw and down my next are hard!! i mean Hard!!.. They are usually softer in the morning... I think that smoking is causing this to be worse.. But still.. I have hard lymph nodes.
I have red does on the head of my penis.. Only when i am hard you can see them... Not clustered, Not Open, I dont know if this is normal.. but i dont think it is
It seems when i open my penis hole that it is red inside there.. not pink.
i then went back to the doctor 2 weeks after that and asked for the oral anti fungal tablets.
They did not work
I went to a ENT
I was given clindamycin and 100 mg a day fluconazole for 2 week
This seem to help a little bit
after the 2 weeks i asked for 3 more weeks becuase of insurance reasons.. I could not do anything else
I double up on my fluconazole and took 200 mg a day for a week and 100 mg the following week.
I stopped all Antibotics.
it seems to gotten a little better..
I went back to myt Gp and asked her for 400 mg a day of fluconazole and nystation rinse and swallow
I have been doing this now for about a 10 days and it does not seem to be going away
I also have been taking..
Vit D 5000 IU a day stated 2 weeks ago
Calcum 1200 IU a day
Coconut Oil
Tea
Pro boitics 25 mill icu with 22 different strans -- This is the good stuff 60 bucks for 60 tablets
Garlic 2 tablets at breskfest and 2 at dinner
Aloa Vera Juice
Some other misc over counter natural stuff
My wife.. about a month and half after i got sick she started showing the same issues.
She now has bumps on her tongue, tonsils are not as big as mine but not normal.
She had a fever for about 3 days and was tired for a couple of weeks also.
She also has a cough that i dont have
She has not taken anything so far...

She was positive for BV right before the start of all of this.
HIV 6 weeks -- Negitive
Questions
If 2 people contacted HIV would the symptoms be almost the same? -- with symptoms being so sporadic with HIV what are the odd's?
I have seen Oral thrush can be a Acute HIV symptom is that true? what is the % of time that it is true?
a normal person would show hiv with in 3 months 99.8% -- Correct?
what about someone with a bad immune system? what is the % at 3 months.?
I know i am worring about HIV and the chances are slim that it is HIV.. But no doctor can tell me what is wrong (5 of them now) and we just keep trying meds that are not wokring..
I have requested acyclovir or ganciclovir to try to help settle this down. Thoughts on this?

Sounds to me that your probelms are all located in your oral cavity and Larynx.
I would suggest making an appointment to see an Otolaryngolist for help with this.

12 weeks is conclusive for Hiv.There was no need to take that 17 week test.You have already ruled out Hiv 100%.When you collect your Negative result at the end of the week i would forget all about Hiv and move on with your life.

Wow,thought for a moment there you were writing a book.I concur with Genesisi and 12 weeks is gold.Your safe from Hiv infection.
Ganciclovir is normally used in people who are severely immunocomprimised.
It is something that your doctor will prescribe for you, not something that you would usually request.

Frequency of HIV testing depends on your risk.
Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) may help prevent HIV infection.
First and fore-most - you have posted in the HIV forum, so I will answer your question with direct reference to HIV.
If you tested negative for HIV at 12 weeks, then you are NOT infected with the virus.
You made no reference to any protection used during your threesome, so I will assume the worst case scenario - unprotected penetrative sex.
Assuming this partner has HIV - You have not accquired the virus from your exposure. Your wife will also have to test again at the 12 week mark for a conclusive result.
This 3some occured more than 3 months ago, so assuming you and your wife have not had any more incidents of unprotected sex with someone other than your current partner at this time, you can assume that you and your wife are BOTH HIV NEGATIVE.
The reason for this is because anybody who has a test at 3months+ from an exposure will have developed a detectable amount of HIV antibody by that time, so your results are accurate and conclusive. With explicit reference to your symptoms, they are NOT being caused by HIV. ARS symptoms can sometimes be an indicator, but only a test will confirm your status - so you are fine as you tested Negative.
With reference to your lesions, I would consult the advice of a Dermatologist and ask for some swabs/cultures to be taken from inside your mouth (assuming this hasnt already been done)
Touching briefly on your Thrush symptoms, Canosten DUO should which shouls be available from your Pharmacy should relieve these symptoms. Thrush is not always linked to sexual activity and is a very common condition.
...and finally - your question regarding your immune system vs HIV symptoms - Your test results cannot be misconstrued by your immune system - your test was conclusive/legitimate.
