Positive voices-women w/hiv-showd

I'm watching a special on hiv called positive voices on television (women w/hiv) and the wierdest thing i ever heard so far was on of them said they came down with pnuemonia after only three weeks after infection! She was hospitolised for two weeks, and given only 24 hrs to live! You would think that it would take longer for an oi to present itself. This woman was very healthy as well, no underlying ailments, bizzare and frieghtening information. This woman was diagnosed in 2003!

I think I have some of the lesions(SP) I saw in the documentary. This is freakin scary. I wouldn't advise people watch.

I know, why would she say this as an hiv positive person, this is not possible. She said that she slept with the guy and that three weeks later she came down with pneumonia. I think your right once again, television is sh#@, they are suppose to be educating people on World Aids day, not scaring them with misinformation.
I know other get pneumonia and maybe she did get it to but it would have to be completely unrealated to her hiv status at the time, i would think.

1. you do not get an O.I. that quick after infection
2. You don't have to have HIV to get pneumonia. PCP is a whole different subject.
3. It goes to show you, you can’t believe everything you watch on TV.

Okay SCAREDTODEATH39, i see your thing is getting on the net and being a complete @#%&% to people concered about hiv.
Why are you on here?
Whats your reason for posting useless responses on this site?
All of your posts are completeley insensative.
You are a lowly individual, you probably have no reason for participating on Medhelp.

Your the judge of everything i see. I've been noticing your posts are a little off my friend, everything okay with you? I'm simply relaying the info from the programme i've just watched on television (not the internet). I did not say i have pnuemonia SCAREDTODEATH39, i said a cough......
I need the internet right now as do most on here, i'm going through a tough time. You have no idea how tough. What is your point?

a cough is not pnuemonia, you stay off the internet. you have no idea what the situation was with this woman. it is neither bizarre nor frightening

The most puzzling thing is the time frame,  she said three weeks, how can this be? Can you test positive two/three weeks after exposure? She said she tested pos after three weeks after exposure.
