Possibility of HIV

Good afternoon doctor

I wonder if you could help me approximately 9 years ago I had sex , intercource vaginal and oral perform and receiving ,with a sex worker in Cameroon.  I am nearly 100% sure we used a condom , my new partner who is a nurse has suggested before we have sex to both do a HIV test together.  This has brought memories flooding. BAck and I am going into panic overload it doesn't take much .  I have never experienced any symptoms of HIV in the 9 years but I think back to the night and wonder did the condom stay on the whole time , ifs what's buts etc.  i would just like to put my mind at ease right now before going into the test that it will be negetive .  If you could answer back with any details that would be great.  Is there a chance of giving HIV through oral sex both giving and receiving also.  Many thanks for your help

Only you can figure if you used a condom and if it fell off, so there are no details anyone can provide for you, other than oral is not a risk for anyone because HIV is instantly inactivated in air or in saliva.
You can take a test now for a conclusive result, instead of going through the panic mode of memories you list and studying "what-ifs" that will not have answers.

Thankyou for replying .  You are right and I am going to do the test with her no problem .  I just wanted to ease my panic just a little bIt before that .  I guess what I wanted to know would be , and I usually think worse case, if it wasn't with a condom and after nine years with no symptoms what is the likely hood of having HIV? I appreciate your reply
Just reread about the what-ifs.
