Possible HIV exposure

by dictionary_master23, Nov 08, 2009 11:35AM
Hi
I am 19 living in the UK and I had sex with an older man about 8 weeks ago. He told me that he was HIV - but after asking several times as he keeps changing his story, he said he was HIV +, then again changed his mind to saying he was HIV -.
The possible exposure was me being the receptive anal partner, condom used each time, but when he was putting the condom on, it looked as though he was trying the stretch it over his penis purposely, but i saw no breakage in it.
He ejaculated in the condom and i removed when he said he was going to cum, nothing seemed to leak
Also he fingered my anus  aswell but there was no cum or pre-cum on there, quite certain of that

Am I at risk of HIV?
I have been worried so that could explain feeling unwell

How certain does my 6 week negative look?

Really worried guys, please help
I had a HIV test at 11 days (neg) and 6 weeks (neg)

nothing you have described put you at risk for hiv.

But say if he purposely teared the condom and ejaculated could that put me at risk? i think he ejacualted when still inside me, but the condom was on, however he was stretching the condom a lot when putting it on and I assume he is +

Is a HIV GUM test at 6 weeks ( and a few days) reliable ?
do i have anything to worry about?

If the condom tore or failed, it would be very obvious, you would NOT have to guess about it. Your NEGATIVE HIV antibody result @ 6 weeks is a VERY GOOD indication of your staus ( especially as this was a NO RISK situation).

What do you think I should do now?
I was negative at 6 weeks, should i test again now at 8 weeks? should i go to the doctors/GUM clinic to check any symptoms or should i wait another month until it is 12 weeks after exposure?

thanks again, just really worried

Being you had no risk, no test is needed.

Sorry to ask this, but how am I not at risk?

Is anal penetration not a risk? Also when he was stretching the condom could small holes not be exposed in the condom, and when he ejaculated could that not have gone through the condom and into my anus?

sorry to keep asking, just really worried, i am training to be a doctor and this could be a real downfall for me

How are you not at risk...because a condom was used.
Condoms don't get small holes, they either break or they don't.

If it did break, am I at risk?
Do you think I should get tested again?
It was my first time so i wouldn't be certain if it ripped or not :S

Would an out of date condom still be effective or not?

many thanks again

It did not break, you said, "He ejaculated in the condom and i removed when he said he was going to cum, nothing seemed to leak." If it broke then there would be no condom left to ejaculate in.

Again you do not need to be tested again.

Out of date is fine, the date is used because over time they can break easier but again the one used with you did not. If you want to test how strong a condom is then go buy one and play around with it. They are hard to break.

I wrote in a later post that he said he was going to cum, so i got off his penis quite, then i looked at him on the bed and he had the condom on his penis, and cum was inside the condom
therefore he probably ejaculated whilst still inside me, told me, then i got off

what about this?????

i think you are making me feel a lot better, thanks for this and sorry for all the posts

What about it? Using a condom is not a risk. If you are having trouble then maybe it is not the right time for you to be having sex. Condoms work.

Sorry Vance

What would you say about my last post?

This will be my last time of asking, just need some firm answers from someone like yourself for reassurance

Many thanks
