Possible exposure and Acute HIV

Hi Doctor,

I am from India. I created a tattoo on my arm. I have a doubt tattoo artist didn't change needle and inkpot. After this on 12th day i gone for HIV test HIV 1&2 ELISA METHOD, report says negative(0.415 S/Co) and again on 32nd day i went for HIV test which is HIV 1/2 & p24 Combo test (CMIA), report says non reactive(0.1). I am very afraid.
1). Can i believe these report or should i test after 6 month?
2). How much percentage we can trust these test.

Please suggest me right thing.

No, it is not possible. Sharing syringes in drugs is the only route of HIV transmission through objects due to the reason, the syringe comes under vacuum when its plunger is pulled.

However there is a risk of Hepatitis B and C if he did not sterilized his tatooing equipment

Thanks for replying. As you said HIV does not survive outside its host so, it can't be possible from needle and many time used ink ?

HIV does not survive outside its host, therefore it is not possible to get the infection through objects.

1. No, you do not need any test further, your 32 days combo test is enough to determine your status conclusively
2. These tests are very accurate and highly reliable, you can trust your test report.
