Probably irrational, but can someone clarify?
Hello all,
Had a risky exposure back a year ago. Had a HIV test one day short of 12 weeks after the event and it came back negative.
After this point I started a new relationship and have been with the girl ever since. THis week however she has been ill with a headache (2days), really bad diarrhea, which persisted for 3 days until halting under immodium, only to come back today. She has had moments when she is either very cold or hot but the overriding symptom is diarrhea.
I am just getting a bit worried what these symptoms are? I love this girl dearly. How sure can I be that I have not passed HIV on? Please help.

you CANNOT transmit something that you DONT have, now can you??? you have a conclusively negative test result PROVING that you do NOT have hiv.
The only girl I have been with since the risky exposure is this one, and I am hoping it will only ever be this girl now, hence the anxiety. I had no sex at all until the neg test, and started the relationship about a month later. Does this mean I can stop worrying I have given her anything?

OK, thanks Teak. As i mentioned in the topic title I know it may sound just completely irrational, but I love this girl immensely and just want to love and protect her.
By virtue of confidence of the 12 week (-1day) neg test, can i therefore by safe in the knowledge i haven't passed on the disease to her?
