QUESTIONS ABOUT ARS FEVER

by mikey29, Apr 21, 2007 12:00AM
I have a few questions about fever associated with ARS that I was hoping some of you experts out there might have an answer for:

1) What are usually the typical levels of ARS-associated fever?  Very high temperatures (103-104+) or mild temperatures (99-101)?

2) If one were to be experiencing ARS-associated fever, would that person know it?  Would that person be noticeably ill and malaised, or could it just be a very imperceptable, mild occurence?

3) Does ARS fever ever occur without any of the other symptoms (sore throat, body rash, etc.)?  Or is this uncommon?

4) How long does an ARS-related fever typically last?

I know the symptoms of ARS can vary from person to person, but I'd like to know what are the typical values of these questions.  My reason for asking is because I have had a low-risk exposure that was followed 2.5 weeks later with a 100 degree fever that lasted about 10 days, but with no other symptoms nor fatigue/malaise- I didn't even feel sick.  I know there are nearly 100 million possible causes for this fever, but for my peace of mind, could some of you guys reply with your thoughts please?

Thanks and best regards to all of you.

Mike,

1) Very high temperatures (103-104)

2) A person going through a high fever would definitely know it though not necessarily know the cause k

3) Though fever and rash being the most common symptoms, what I've read so far is it occurs along with a few other symptoms

4) A week / week and half !

*100C is not a high fever !*
