Question About HIV Testing

Greetings,

I had protected oral and vaginal intercourse with a CSW and even though some say its no risk for HIV, it still had me freaked out. I took the standard EIA antibody test 4 times and I would like to know if it is conclusive? The reason I ask is because my wife has what kind of looks like rash but more like pimples. However the tip of the pimple is not white. Its all one color. She has 3 on her shoulder and a few on her back and buttocks. She has always had some kind of acne on her back but it still worries me. Below are the timelines for my EIA Antibody HIV Test for HIV/1 and HIV/2.

3 Weeks - DNA/PCR and EIA for HIV/1 and HIV/2 - Non Reactive
6 Weeks - EIA for HIV/1 and HIV/2 - Non Reactive (Blood Test)
10 Weeks - EIA for HIV/1 and HIV/2 - Non Reactive (Blood Test)
4 Months and 3 Weeks - EIA for HIV/1 and HIV/2 - Non Reactive (Blood Test)

Are my results conclusive?
Could I be a late seroconvertor?

Welcome to our Forum. My answer is the same as the answer you have received on the HIV community site. This was a no risk exposure. Condom protected sex is safe sex and thus no risk for HIV.  Your lab tests confirm this.  These results are undoubtedly negative.  Please believe them

As for your wife's rash, they are no due to HIV or something you gave to her as a result of the exposure you describe.  There is no such thing as a late seroconverter.

Relax.  you are fine.  I hope my comment helps.  EWH

So then any symptoms I might be feeling should be disregarded with respect to HIV?

I have been having numbness in a few of my toes for a few days, constant phlem stuck in throat (Globus pharyngeus), and back pain for 4 months.

BElieve your tests. Your symptoms are due to something other than HIV. EWH
