Modern HIV tests are the most sensitive and accurate screening tests that have ever been available. Modern antibody only tests are considered conclusive at 12 weeks post exposure. Your test at 16 weeks proves you were not infected with HIV during the exposure you describe.
Accept that you are negative, and move on. If you cannot, then it is time to seek out the assistance of medical professionals in your area.
And if he did have hiv aren't i more at risk ? Or is the 16 week test 100% conclusive bc I keep hearing stories of people finding out later
Joys of anxiety!
However, you are fine and have no need to worry!
Just a quick question I have celiacs and since this exposure I have had strep throat and multiple colds ... Is there a possibility of a late seroconversion or can I take my 16 week test and celebrate. Idk why this is still bothering me. Thanks
You can move on you don't have HIV
