Question

I had a negative test at 40 days for one time unprotected sex. Do I need to test again at 12 weeks. Is this a good indication I will be negative at 12 weeks?

from what i hear 6 weeks is a good sign at where you stand, like myself, 6 weeks 2 days neg from unprotected sex with symptoms,..i'm testing tomorrow again, but 3 months/12 weeks  is the conclusive date. i have hope you should too my friend, best of luck to you to.

i tested  neg at 6 weeks 2 days, havent made it to 12wks yet (fingers crossed),..testing tmrw at 7 weeks,..wish me luck,..if this your 6 week, go test, it can't hurt...

good luck! yeah 40 days is close enough to 6 weeks. I doubt 2 days makes a difference. I will get tested again at 12 weeks.

You don't need a six weeks test. You need a 3 month conclusive test result.

Yes I have. That's why a conclusive test result is not until 3 months post exposure.

            i'm getting a little scared again,..are the odds very high that a six week neg will turn pos,..i'm going to test at 3 months but i'm still having the headaches and muscle aches/joint pain to this day. please write back and thank you.
