RNA QL TMA test accuracy 13 days after exposure

I had protected insertive vaginal sex with a stripper in Atlanta Ga. Three days after I panicked and went to my dr. He did a complete std battery including a HIV 1/2 antigen test that all came back negative.

At the 13 day I went and did a RNA QL TMA test through quest diagnostics which came back negative as well.

How much confidence can I have in these results. Please help.

I’ve researched this extensively and the answers provided are consistent with other credible sources. Basically they don’t need to be doctors to provide basic information about risk or testing.
The CDC says the risk for unprotected vaginal sex is 4 out of every 10,000 exposures. That’s assuming she has HIV. Factor in 99% effectiveness of condoms and your risk is statistically zero for protected vaginal sex.
I’m still unclear about the HIV RNA tests, and I’ve had difficulty getting an exact answer. My testing facility claims 95-99% accuracy after 9-11 days.

You had no risk so you could have tested at any time and got a negative result that you could rely on. Not sure why your doctor went through the process of an HIV test, unless you are a very anxious person and he used the test as a placebo. Any more testing will be abnormal and indicate an HIV phobia.
