immediately.... and is clotted in say 5 mins or so...hence the same needle cannot be reused to take out blood from the vein again.......two things can be done... 1) fresh needle must be used or 2) that same needle must be sterilized in order to remove the clot
will b there in the needle, even if sum people try to reuse the same needle... the blood wunt flow(at all) or at very very slow rate from the vein to the syringe.
is the above info correct? they said that the IV drug users re-use the needle almost instantly thats why they are at risk for Hiv
HIV doesn't live outside the host you would have to inject a great quantity of infected blood into your blood it's harder to get than they tell you matter of fact you have a better chance of winning the lottery
If hiv cannot live outside its host then is a needle its host?
How come people who share IV drugs get infected with hiv if hiv doesn't live outside its host?is there a diff in the needle?
Can air penetrate the needle when the needle is in the air?
Or is the needle air tight?
Pls elaborate.
Thanx
Listen bro there is sumthing called Human Error.
Its just abt changing the needle?wht if the guy who took my blood forgot to change the needle previously?
Does the blood in the needle coagulate whn exposed in air?preventing for its reuse?
well Bro, that does not happen. Sounds like you have OCD around HIV. You don't have a real risk. Better off trying to let it go. If you can't let it go, then go get tested. No one on this site can help you otherwise. If you need affirmation, you can post on the doctor's forum.
Just answer once mor bro. When people say tht once the needle is out of the vein and exposed in the air the blood in the needle starts to clot.what does this mean?how much approx time does it take for the blood in the needle to clot? 4-5 hrs?
I was tested with tht vaccum containes thing in which thr is a holder and a bottle is used and a needle is placed on the top of the holder and the bottle is inserterd inside the holder into the needle.
How gud is a test at approx 78 days after a possible exposure?be it unprotected oral or vaginal.
It doesn't matter because nobody reused a needle on you. Really. Either believe it or test. Why go on and on over a no-risk situation? That's all from me. Good luck.
