Reactive in screening test for hiv
hello guyz! just wanna share my problem and hopefully can get a satisfied answers from you guyz.. i was tested for an screening test for hiv and it was found reactive..im kinda confused coz i never did anal or vaginal sexand never taking drugs through inject before but only oral sex i did and i was the receiver and i did not perform oral sex. Now, actually i have fungi that i brought for many years but now it doesn't really itchy..i never take any antibiotic and only ointment. My question, do you think it was my fungi problem detected in my blood and that caused of reactive result? do i have virus for fungi in my blood? now, i am waiting for my confimatory result. Based on that you did not have a risk for HIV.

Update? You need to understand what you did is no risk ad if it is positive, you have to look for possible causes in your past history you may not realize could have posed a risk to you. When was your last test before this one?

i dont know. maybe because they have lots of blood samples received and it should be in order and by batch to perform. But yesterday i received a call and finally my result has done then today i will go to clinic and claim the result, so this is very hard for me to handle. i will pray pray pray that the result is negative.

i hope so. Vance do you have any idea why my first screening test was reactive? and is it possible that other condition (like skin problem for a year and etc.)may affect the test that can caused of reactive?
not yet. im still waiting. i am so much worried. theres so many questions in mind and ask how my screening test was reactive knowing that i dont have sexual intercourse in my life. I need an answer while waiting my result. huhuhu

Even the modern Rapid tests often shows a false positive result but never a false negative. Did u took any vaccination recently ?
if not hiv infection. what are those infections could be possible that i may have in my blood?
